DJ Instrumental is an 80's baby. He grew up listening to the likes of KRS One, Kool G Rap, A Tribe Called Quest, and a host of other great New York artists. In 1992 he was invited to a party and instantly spotted some turntables. As it turns out, the guy who was having the birthday party, actually was the DJ for his own party. This same guy heard about DJ Instrumental around the neighborhood, who at the time was a local rapper known as Kid Fro he approached and said "Hey man, do you know how to DJ?" Kid Fro Replied "yes!" With no experience but on his mothers record player, Kid Fro turned the party out! He then began to study the art, idolizing such acts as Kid Capri, DJ Red Alert, Grandmaster Flash to name a few. As time went on he discovered his talent for producing. DJ Instrumental went on to produce as a in house producer for a local record label Real Son Productions. DJ Instrumental is the house DJ for Class E Comedy Club in Greensboro, North Carolina.
